School Environment and Sponsorship News
I am delighted to report that we have been awarded a grant of £24,000 from the Local Authority which we are required to match fund and use to improve the fabric of our buildings. As a result of this we will be replacing a number of windows in the main teaching block to improve our environment.
Staff have been very active in seeking sponsorship and funding and we have recently taken delivery of a new smart Netball Kit which will be worn when playing inter-school games and paint and other materials to revamp the PE area.
Now that the refurbished Music Block has been re-opened, plans are underway for a £12,000 Council funded Bike Shelter in the area between the Music and Maths block. This will encourage more students to use their bikes to travel to school and is part of a wider Bikeability scheme which John Willmott School have been active participants in, such initiatives form part of our eco project aiming to reduce energy usage and CO2 emissions.
Thank you for your continued support.
